My study in Raffles Singapore has been a whole journey full of good, bad, and mundane experiences. From the start, I’ve never always been the most confident person in my own abilities and or skills, but going through the Advanced Diploma program has given me a great learning experience that will be helpful towards my future goals as an emerging creative; focusing more on practical knowledge and independent learning experience. From that, I’ve learned of not only my strengths but also my weaknesses. It taught me that not only do I need to have technical skills, but also to have problem solving capabilities to succeed in any project work. The freedom in which I am able to determine my own path supported by the independent style of teaching is something that I am also grateful for, because even though it comes with its own set of cons, it helped with instilling in me a sense of discipline and management. Overall, I found the experience enjoyable and enlightening. I am grateful for the amazing lecturers over in raffles that nurtured my passion for the arts so that I could continue to strive to pursue this craft, no number of words can truly express how much of a positive impact they have been on my outlook on working in the industry and to prepare me for that future.
