In partnership with the Singapore Fashion Council (SFC), Raffles Design Singapore launched Raffles Privato at Design Orchard DORS, featuring three budding Raffles Designers, and Raffles Fashion Designer and founder of NEWFOUND, Regina FANG, on 17 January 2025.
Having graduated in June 2024, Raffles Designers, Chika Orshi HERMAWAN, Natasha JOSEFINA, and Catherine SANTOSA, were handpicked by DORS to commercialise their graduation collections for their debut at DORS.
Set up in 2010 by the college, Raffles Privato is an incubator project aimed at assisting up-and-coming designers to establish their own private label, in support of talented Singapore-based and-trained designers, and the Singapore fashion industry.
Since its inception, Raffles Privato has launched successful brands like Sean Sheila. Depicted in the name of the retail concept, ‘Privato’ in Italian means “Private” and it relates to the graduates’ tutelage with their Principal, Giuseppe (Joe) SPINELLI, an Italian descendant.
The College would like to congratulate Raffles Privato Designers, Chika Orshi HERMAWAN, Designer and Founder of Chika Orshi, Natasha JOSEFINA, Designer and Founder of Sefina, Catherine SANTOSA, Designer and Founder of Catherine SANTOSA Jewellery Studio, and Regina FANG, Designer and Founder of NEWFOUND for the successful debut of their brands at DORS (Design Orchard).
It was an insightful and informative session learning the design process, the social causes, and the communities that their brands support. It makes buying quality design and shopping with a purpose more meaningful at DORS!
