NAYSA DAVINA TUMILAAR

Advanced Diploma in Animation Design

Throughout my journey at Raffles College of Higher Education, I explored, learned and expanded my creativity more and more as the days go by. With limited art skills, I entered this animation school with the goal to create outstanding illustrations and animations. Over the years, I learned and developed my skills both in 2D and 3D animations. As I'm able to bring characters, emotions, and ideas to life through my 2D and 3D animations. As a designer, I was challenged to create many different projects, which I had to think critically and push the boundaries of my imagination more than ever. One of the projects that I was assigned to, was to enter the SGCC comic contest 2024. For this contest, I had to push my creativity over my limit, as I had to create an original comic of my own. During the progress, I understood how to create a visual narrative within my designs. The illustration I drew with each panel gave emotion, atmosphere and good pacing. Creating this comic was definitely a turning point for the good in expanding my understanding on how I design my illustrations and animations. Of course, during my study journey here at Raffles, not only do I gain help, I also got a lot of support with my classmates, who share the same love for designing illustrations and animations. I also want to thank the lectures for both teaching me and helping me to grow my technical skills and creative skills beyond the boundaries. With the advice's I was given, I was able to design many different and creative illustrations, that I thought I wasn't able to do or lacked the creativity to do so. Thank you, Raffles College of Higher Education, for helping me to expand my creativity to design wonderful animations and Illustrations
