EXPERIENCE PAN-ASIAN CULTURES AT THE ASIAN CIVILISATIONS MUSEUM
The best way of experiencing local culture is to experience it in person. Besides having students
from 26 nationalities, Raffles Design organises trips to the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM),
known for its extensive collection of artefacts from across Asia, for Raffles Designers from
Product Design, Interior Design and Jewellery Design disciplines to experience the diverse
cultural heritage of the region.
In the museum, Raffles Designers explored an impressive array of exhibits, including intricate
jewellery, traditional furniture, and items representing the various ethnic groups from the
region, narrating the history and development of pan-Asian cultures and civilisations, allowing
students to trace the ancestry and cultural legacies.
Every visit to a museum offers visitors a piece of history, allowing learners like Raffles
Designers to draw inspirations from the designs, craftsmanship and cultural significance of the
