Raffles Design, at the invitation of the Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) and support
of the Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore, invited Raffles Graphic Designers to \u201cpaint\u201d
the Shaw Centre – Wheelock Place underpass and activate this thoroughfare as part of ORBA\u2019s
effort to add colours and vibrancy to the precinct.
Raffles Graphic Designer Joanna Kristina SUGIH\u2019S mural design, titled \u201cEmbark on a Sensory
Journey\u201d, was selected by ORBA for its thoughtful representation of Orchard Road offering a
multi-sensory experience to visitors, local and tourist alike. The mural beautifully conveys the
street\u2019s diverse sensorial experiences , from the enticing aromas of fine dining to the sights of
fashionable shoppers and the blooming flowers, which Orchard Road offers.
The next time you are crossing Orchard Road using the Shaw Centre – Wheelock Place underpass,
slow down and enjoy the senses with your eyes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
