BE AT THE FOREFRONT OF INNOVATION AT HYUNDAI MOTOR GROUP INNOVATION CENTER
SINGAPORE
Raffles Designers from Product Design and Interior Design disciplines experienced a
transformative journey at the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS),
peeping into the future through innovative thinking and pursuing new frontiers.
Our students were introduced to a fully automated farm run by robots, cultivating crops in urban
settings limited by space, and tasted freshly harvested greens while learning about their history
and unique flavours.
As an open innovation lab for future mobility, the centre advances ‘Industry 4.0’ technologies
like artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and robotics, aiming to revolutionize
manufacturing with modular and flexible processes.
Students engaged in a 3D virtual reality experience of the factory, witnessing groundbreaking
automation. Their inspiring day at the centre concluded with a ride onboard the IONIQ 5, along
the Skytrack, on the manufacturing facility’s roof.
Studying at Raffles is always eye-opening
