RAFFLES JEWELLERY DESIGNERS BRIDGE ART AND GEMS: A COLLABORATION WITH THE GEM
MUSEUM
16 Raffles Jewellery Designers participated in designing for THE GEM CAPITAL with the theme,
Renaissance: Rebirth of Creativity. The GEM Museum founder, Mr. TAY Kunming, generously
provided the students with exceptional natural gemstones to inspire their work, and personally
mentored them to enhance their designs. Some students utilised 3D printing technology to bring
their visions to life, while others used the technique of wax carving to handcraft their designs.
Through this exhibition, Raffles Jewellery Designers got to apply their design skills for a good cause
as a portion of the sales proceeds was donated to the Singapore Christian Home and Safe Place,
supporting the community by Design.
