Design is a universal language that can be transpired without words!
Congratulations to Raffles Graphic Designer Vanessa DJOHAN for translating her design from
graphics to a multi-purpose scarf design selected by global fashion retailer SHEIN as their
official corporate gift for 2024. The debut of her design took place at the SHEIN Global Reception
on September 19, 2024, held at the Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel in Singapore.
Vanessa’s design, inspired by the rich and vibrant heritage of Peranakan culture, beautifully
captures the multicultural essence of Singapore. Drawing from a harmonious blend of Chinese,
Malay, Indian, and colonial influences, the scarf features intricate patterns and vivid hues,
making it a stunning representation of the country’s diverse cultural landscape.
The scarf can be used as pocket square for men, as worn by Mr. Leonard LIN, General Manager of
SHEIN Singapore, or as a neck scarf, hair tie, or bag twilly for the ladies.
